Dedicated to increasing access to quality therapeutic care

The cost of therapy is a common barrier for most people in need of mental health services. At The Expansion Collective, we are dedicated to accessible quality care, and we strive to present multiple options that fit your budget.

Self-Pay with Superbills

One of the most common and easiest ways of paying for therapy is through self-pay. At The Expansion Collective, we can provide superbills to clients, which they can submit to their insurance carrier as an out-of-network claim for reimbursement.

Fee Schedule:

Individual:

Intake $150; Ongoing $135

Couples/Partners/Family:

Intake $165; Ongoing $150

We also have limited spots for discounted rates to make self-pay more affordable for those where all other options are not viable.

Insurance

The Expansion Collective is in network with Aetna and traditional Medicaid. (We are not yet able to accept other forms of Medicaid—Anthem, MDWise, CareSource, MHS—and we are not in network for Medicare.)

We are in the process of credentialing and paneling with major carriers, though this process takes time. Stay tuned to this page for updates as we add carriers to our roster. Until then, self-pay with superbill is an option to start care immediately.

Alternative Routes

If self-pay or insurance coversage is not an option for you, there are alternative routes to paying for therapy. Some nonprofits and third-party organizations offer to pay for limited sessions for people who cannot afford care and who meet eligibility. For example, many regional Brainspotting institutes offer limited sessions for those who meet the income requirements. Pineapple Support provides payment for therapy services for those who identify as adult industry professionals. There are organizations that pay or reimburse adoptees for seeking mental health care. We are open to chatting with you if you are going to receive care from one of these grants/scholarships/programs.
